The short version
We're a small but growing AI consultancy that works with UK government and enterprise clients. We need people who can turn up, understand a problem, and help solve it - whether that's writing code, designing an architecture, running a discovery workshop, or figuring out how AI should actually fit into a client's process.
Some of us come from engineering backgrounds. Some from product, consulting, or analysis. What we have in common is that nobody says "that's not my job" - if something needs doing, we do it.
No corporate ladder. No rigid role boundaries. Just interesting problems and the freedom to solve them properly.
What you'd actually be doing
The honest answer is: whatever it takes to bring direct value to our customers.
Some weeks you might be heads-down writing Python, building out an AI system. Other weeks you might be in a workshop with a client, helping them figure out what they should even build. Sometimes both in the same day.
To give you a flavour - recent work has included building MCP servers for data explainability, ML systems for predictive analysis and fraud detection, and embedding AI into workflows across government and commercial clients. On quieter days, we've been building internal accelerators - a chance to experiment and have some fun without the pressure of client deadlines.
This is customer-facing work. You'll be in the room with stakeholders, running demos, explaining technical concepts to non-technical people, and sometimes helping clients find a better approach when their original idea won't work.
What we're looking for
We don't care about your job title or years of experience. We care whether you can do the work. You might come from an engineering background, or you might be a PM, BA, or consultant who's got properly hands-on with AI and wants to go deeper. Either way, you'll need:
- A genuine understanding of AI - not just prompting ChatGPT, but how these systems actually work, when to use what, and the fundamentals of both modern LLMs and traditional ML
- The ability to get stuck in technically when needed - whether that's writing code, explaining technical concepts to customers, or translating requirements into something a developer can build
- Experience working with clients - understanding their problems, translating between business and technical, knowing when to push back
- Clear communication - in writing, in person, with clients, with us
- Initiative to find work when work isn't handed to you - using quieter days to learn, improve something, or add value rather than waiting for instructions
Useful but not essential
- Hands-on experience with Python, TypeScript, or similar
- Familiarity with modern AI frameworks (LangChain, etc.)
- Cloud experience (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- An active UK Government security clearance (SC or higher)
